FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can we bring our dog?

We do not allow pets in the main building apart from our own dog Molly, who is very cute and also hypoallergenic. Our garden cabin, however, is available for guests who wish to bring a well-behaved pooch.

Where can I park?

The Glenerne sits between two public car parks, each no more than 200 yards from the building. Both are free of charge. One is down by the harbour and will mean climbing a few steps from the lower road to access our reception entrance.  The other is on Victoria Road and on level ground all the way to our front gate. There is also free and unrestricted on-street parking.

Is there WiFi available?

A free of charge high speed WiFi connection is available to all our guests for the duration of their stay.

Do you serve alcohol?

We are licensed to sell alcohol between the hours of 11.00am and Midnight (1.00am Fridays and Saturdays). However, we are not publicans so only carry a limited stock of beers, wines and spirits.

Do you allow children?

We are happy to accommodate children between the ages of 8 and 14 - children age 15 years or older are classed as adults. Unfortunately we cannot allow any children under the age of 8, but younger children are welcome in our garden cabin.

Are there restaurants nearby?

Eyemouth offers a good selection of restaurants and pubs, mainly around the harbour area and all within easy walking distance of The Glenerne. We do not offer any meals to guests other than breakfast, which is served between 8.00 and 10.00am.

Is there a guest lounge?

We do have a lounge area with TV that is available for guests during their stay. Please ensure that this area is kept clear of any suitcases, luggage items or personal belongings.

Is smoking or vaping permitted?

The Glenerne is a smoke-free building and guests are asked to respect this at all times. There is a covered area in the gardens that may be used, providing that it does not bother any other guests that may be nearby.

Are there cancellation charges?

You can cancel your booking without penalty up to seven days before your date of arrival. Bookings cancelled within 7 days will be charged at the full booking value.
